LASERS

Combine Giese’s expertise with state-of-the-art technology and you get maximum production efficiency. Laser cutting is being used for an increasing number of applications in sheet-metal processing. The high level of production flexibility and the almost unlimited diversity of materials and shapes explain its recognition as an indispensable technology. Our Bystronic lasers can cut more than 450’ of metal per minute, with minimal waste. These lasers can handle almost any size metal. They can cut metal as thick as 3/4″ and as large as 5′ x 10′ in size.

We also have a Hankwang fully automated laser. The real benefit of this laser is it stores sheets of metal, and as soon as one sheet has been cut out, it is automatically replaced with a fresh new sheet. This allows us to have minimal loss of productivity and keeps our employees safe from injuries. Which, in turn, allows us to produce products at record speed while sparing nothing in quality.

LATHE

At Giese we have taken a fairly old type of operation called lathing and brought it up to date with 21st-century technology.

A lathe is a machine tool which spins a block of material to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding or metal spinning. Our AmeraSeiki T-310 lathe is top-notch and allows us to process up to 80″ in turning length, have a bar capacity from 2″ to 4-5/8″ and swing over bed of more than 28″.

BENDING

As technology changes, so does the equipment at the Giese Manufacturing plant. The Performer+ can make bends up to 6.5″ high and 6.5′ long. It can process mild steel from .098-inch thick and stainless steel from .079″ thick. This machine guarantees precision accuracy on every bend. It also makes an infinite number of bend types possible, ensuring higher levels of repeatability, safety and productivity. A machine like this allows us to produce quality products, such as HON® filing cabinets, and we can produce them faster than ever before.

MATERIALS

We work with stainless steel, galvanized and black iron and aluminum and copper, as well as powder-coated-painted materials. You can see quality in every facet of Giese production.
